Just watched part 2 of The Guardians - absolutely brilliant. All the more remarkable because the episode consists in large part of an intense two-hander: a prolonged and uncomfortable conversation about censorship and repression between Richard Hurndall and Cyril Luckham (as a television service head and a prime minister respectively ( Read more... )

Okay. Hung, judging from one ep, has its faults, but I like the leads - *together*. Rather hard to like Ray per se, but Tania is *wonderful*. And I like the fact that his kids are grown and icky. Looking forward to ep 2.

I would really, *really*, like The Ghost and Mrs Muir to come out on DVD. Not the film, the series. I have the NTSC EP copies of copies of copies of copies a certain kind soul was making available, but it seems just plain crazy that it isn't out.

...funnier than part 1. Just. Not fond of this kind of story, but at least (a) RD can probably get away with it without being too insufferably smug/naff and (b) this ep had one or two serious, properly-Dwarfy, genuine can't-help-it laughs. Good.

That said, I'd forgotten that Naylor sans Grant was like Uderzo sans Goscinny :(
